• One of the famous painted churches near Schulenburg, TX, this is in the tiny community of Praha. Praha was settled in the mid 19th century by Czech-speaking immigrants from Bohemia and Moravia.
• Nine Praha men were killed in action during World War II, making Praha the community with the highest rate of losses of any town in the U.S. - almost 10% of its population.
• There are still a few houses in the area now, but this church is otherwise about all that's left.
